Kitty Zhang

Kitty Zhang (Zhang Yu Qi), originally named Zhang Shuang, was born on August 8, 1987, in Dezhou, Shandong, China. She is an actress, singer, and host in Mainland China, graduating from the Shanghai Theatre Academy's affiliated school of drama. In 2006, she made her official debut by playing the lead role of Teacher Yuan in Stephen Chow's film "CJ7." In 2008, she received a nomination for Best New Performer at the Hong Kong Film Awards for her role in the film "All About Women."
In 2010, she ended her contract with Star Overseas Ltd and established her personal studio in 2012. In 2013, Zhang Yu Qi won the Most Popular Actress Award at the Beijing College Student Film Festival for her performance in the film "White Deer Plain." That same year, she received awards from the China Film Performance Arts Academy for both "White Deer Plain" and "Hsue-shen Tsien." In 2016, she starred in the film "The Mermaid," which was released, earning her a nomination for Best Supporting Actress at the Hong Kong Film Awards the following year.
In 2017, she played Chunqin in Chen Kaige's film "Legend of the Demon Cat," and in 2018, she was honored with the Best Supporting Actress Award at the Asian Film Awards. In June 2020, she participated in the variety show "Ride The Wind" and eventually became a member of the female music group X-SISTER. In 2021, she joined the show "Roast Season 5," performed during the Spring Festival Gala with the skit "Happiness on the Road to Spring," and received the Sina Weibo Annual Star Award, also participating in a New Year's Eve Gala. Zhang Yu Qi has become a well-known actress in the Chinese film industry due to her diverse performances and outstanding contributions.
