Karry Wang

Karry Wang (Wang Jun-kai), born on September 21, 1999, in Chongqing, is a singer and actor in mainland China, as well as the leader of the boy group TFBOYS. He graduated from Beijing Film Academy. At the end of 2010, he joined the TF Family as a trainee. In 2012, he gained attention online for his cover songs. In 2013, he officially debuted as the leader of TFBOYS and released the group's first mini music album, "Heart Dream: Departure." In 2014, he garnered widespread attention with the song "Youth Growth Manual." In 2015, he attended an outstanding youth symposium organized by the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League and set a Guinness World Record for the highest number of reposts on Weibo, exceeding 42.77 million times.
Since 2016, he has performed on the CCTV Spring Festival Gala stage for seven consecutive years. In the same year, he released his first solo music single, "Tree Reading." In 2017, he established his personal charitable foundation, the "Huanlan Dream Public Welfare Fund," and received the "Annual Performing Arts Person Award" from the "Influencing China" annual persons selection by China News Weekly. That year, he starred in his first film, "The Last Wish," which grossed over 100 million RMB just two days after its release.
In 2018, he was appointed as a "Goodwill Ambassador" for the United Nations Environment Programme, and his inspirational drama about nature, "Eagles And Youngster," was broadcasted. In 2019, he held his first solo concert, "Boundless," in Beijing and served as the "Youth Ambassador for APEC Future Voices," winning the "Best Newcomer Award" at the 17th Chinese Film Performing Arts Society Golden Phoenix Awards. In 2020, he ranked 10th on the "Forbes China Celebrity List" and played the role of Meng Chao in the drama film "The Fallen Bridge." In 2021, his song "Growth" won the "Most Popular Song Award" on the China Songs Top Chart. In 2022, he portrayed Zhuang Wenjie in the mystery drama "Reborn," and the film he starred in, "Home Coming," became the box office champion during the National Day holiday. He was nominated for Best Actor at the 37th Hundred Flowers Awards for this film in 2024.
