Joseph Chang

Joseph Chang (Chang Hsiao-chuan), born on December 28, 1983, in Taiwan, is a talented Taiwanese actor who graduated from the Department of Fine Arts at Taipei County Private Fuxing Senior High School. He was discovered by director Yi Chih-Yen at a metro station when he was 17 and entered the show business officially in 2001, debuting in the TV drama "Finding Mr. Right". His journey in the show business is very rich. From 2002 to 2009, he starred in many TV dramas and films such as "18 True Love", "Crystal Boys", "Legend of Speed", "Eternal Summer", "Keeping Watch", "Step by Step", and "Prince of Tears". Among them, "Eternal Summer" gained him significant attention. In 2011, he was nominated for Best Leading Actor in a Television Series at the 46th Golden Bell Awards in Taiwan, followed by, in 2012, winning the Best Actor award at the 14th Taipei Film Festival and the Outstanding Actor award at the 7th APN Asia-Pacific Producers' Annual Meeting for his role in "Girlfriend, Boyfriend (GF*BF)". This film also earned him nominations for the Best Actor award at the 49th Golden Horse Awards, the 55th Asia Pacific Film Festival, and the 7th Asian Film Awards in 2013. In 2013, his film "The Stolen Years" achieved excellent box office results in Mainland China, Taiwan, and Hong Kong. From 2014 to 2017, he starred in the drama film "Nina", the romantic comedy "Contract Lover", and "The Stolen Years" successively. In 2015, he particularly received the "Asian Star Award" at the 10th Osaka Asian Film Festival. In 2019, he starred in the Netflix original series "The Victims' Game". In 2020, Joseph Chang won the Best Actor award at the 25th Busan Film Festival Asian Content Awards for his role in "The Victims' Game". In 2023, his film, "Be With Me" was screened in Taiwan. In 2024, his film, "Fantasy·World", was released in mainland China and the second season of "The Victims' Game", in which he starred, was released on Netflix.
