Jing Bo-ran

Jing Bo-ran was born on April 19, 1989, in Shenyang, Liaoning Province, China. He is a Chinese actor, singer, and model. He entered the entertainment industry in 2007 after winning the nationwide final and the Best Internet Popularity Award in the talent show "加油好男兒 (Up Idol Men)." In the same year, he joined the Chinese boy band BOBO. In 2008, with a guest appearance in his first film "The Equation of Love and Death," Jing broadened his acting career into the film industry. The following year, he took the lead role in the TV series "Girl Rushes Forward," marking his television debut. In 2010, his performance in the film "Hot Summer Days" earned him the Best Newcomer Award at the 17th Beijing College Student Film Festival. In the same year, he left BOBO and started his solo singing career by signing a contract with Seed Music. In 2015, he was nominated for the Best Actor Award at the 33rd Popular Film Hundred Flowers Awards for his performance in the fantasy film "Monster Hunt," which raked in 2.428 billion yuan at the domestic box office, making it the first domestically produced film to top the box office in history. In the same year, he was also nominated for Best Supporting Actor at the 30th China Golden Rooster Awards for his role in the film "Lost and Love." In 2018, his film "Us and Them," in which he played the lead role, received a warm response worldwide and was launched on Netflix in 190 countries and regions. In the same year, Jing participated in the variety show "I ACTOR" for young actors. In 2019, he ranked 31st on Forbes China's list of the top 100 celebrities. The urban emotional dramas he starred in, "Road Home" and "Regeneration," were broadcast respectively in 2023 and 2024.
