Jag Huang

Jag Huang (Huang Chien-wei), born on May 13, 1981, is a versatile Taiwanese male actor, as well as a screenwriter and drama director. He has participated in many films and television dramas and also has extensive theater performance experience. Huang Jian-wei loves a variety of sports, including Russian martial arts, judo, aikido, Chen-style Tai Chi, Peking Opera martial arts, Argentine Tango, and Wing Chun. In 2001, he won the New Actor Award at the 4th Taipei Film Festival for his role in the film "Summer, Dream," and in 2009, he was nominated for Best Supporting Actor at the 46th Taiwan Golden Horse Film Awards for "Yang Yang."
He enlisted for military service on August 17, 2011, and continued to devote himself to his acting career after his discharge. In 2014, he starred in the Taiwanese reality-themed film "The Rice Bomber," making a significant impact. That same month, he also starred in the suspense film "The Peaceful Island" directed by South Korean director Jang Yun Hyun. In 2015, his performance in the medical drama "Wake Up" earned him a nomination for Best Actor in a Miniseries/Television Film at the 50th Taiwan Golden Bell Awards. He continued to star in the second season of the drama in 2017, leading to another nomination for Best Actor in a Drama Series. His proactive attitude and outstanding performance have earned him significant recognition in the industry.
