Huang Yan-wei

Huang Yan-wei is a screenwriter and director from mainland China, holding a Ph.D. in Genetics from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, where he studied under academician Fang Rongxiang. His notable works include "Mr.Pride VS Miss Prejudice," "The Myth," and "Meet the In-Laws." In 2010, the TV series "The Myth," which he co-wrote, was broadcast on CCTV-8, achieving top ratings and winning the 2010 Spring TV Drama Internet Festival's Most Network-Spirited TV Drama Award and the 2010 Huading Award for Best Legendary TV Drama. In 2016, he co-directed and co-wrote the workplace comedy "The Boss is Coming," which was broadcast. In 2017, the film "Mr.Pride VS Miss Prejudice," which he co-wrote with Li Haishu and directed, was released, winning the Most Anticipated Film Award at the 2016 China-Britain Film Festival. In 2020, the TV series "Together," for which he was the screenwriter, was broadcast on Dragon TV, Tencent Video, iQiyi, and Youku. In 2021, the TV series "Love Under the Full Moon," which he directed, was broadcast on iQiyi. In 2022, the TV series "Are You Safe" which he co-wrote, was broadcast. In 2024, the series "The Legend of Heroes," for which he served as a screenwriter, officially premiered.
