Huang Chao-liang

Huang Chao-liang, originally from a quaint small town in Taitung, graduated from the Department of Journalism at Chinese Culture University. He entered the entertainment industry starting from a television travel program, ascended from a producer to a director, and has been nominated for the Golden Bell Awards multiple times. Huang directed his first movie, "Summer Times," in 2009. In 2010, his work "Love is sin" was nominated for awards at various competitions in the Hawaii, Rotterdam, and Macau International Film Festivals. In 2012, he returned to television and directed the romance drama "Summer Fever." In 2013, Huang Chao-Liang co-directed "David Loman" with Leo Lee Tien-yung. In 2014, they once again teamed up to co-direct the romance drama "Peace In Love." In 2015, he wrote and directed a celebratory New Year movie "The Wonderful Wedding," which earned impressive box office results of over 250 million ntd. In 2017, he directed the TV series "Songs and the City," which not only got nominated for the 53rd Golden Bell Awards for the Drama Program category, but also earned him a nomination for the Best Director award. Eager to explore and find new creative spaces, Huang Chao-liang directed another feature film "Han Dan" in 2019, using Taiwan's local culture as the subject to truly delve into Taiwanese people's deep love for their land.
