Honduras

Honduras is the stage name of Hong Sheng-de, who was born on September 29, 1965, in Taishan District, New Taipei City, Taiwan. His ancestral home is in Jiangxi, and after graduating from the Machinery Engineering Department at Taipei City University, he entered the entertainment industry in 1987. Initially, he worked on costumes and props for the Chinese Television System Inc. (CTS)'s variety show "連環泡(Serial Bubbles)" and later became a regular performer on the show. In 1991, Honduras believed he had the chance to become an actor, but he was advised to keep working behind the scenes. Frustrated, he decided to leave "Serial Bubbles." After leaving the entertainment industry, Hong hit a low point and held many jobs, including taxi driver, newspaper delivery person, sheep milk delivery person, gas canister mover, mover, and sea cucumber stall vendor. At one point, he even had three part-time jobs in a day. Later on, he met artist Peng Chia Chia and decided to become his dedicated driver and assistant. In 1998, Hong was invited to join the "Stone Family" founded by Hsu Hsiao-shun, who gave him the stage name "Honduras." He became an active figure in the variety show circuit, drawing attention for his imitation of "Professor YA" from the TV show "心海羅盤 (Compass of the Heart)." He began to participate in CTi TV's various variety shows, among which he gained popularity due to two segments in "Everybody Speaks Nonsense." Honduras excels at Taiwanese performances. Starting in 2011, he became a guest professor for the Taiwanese segment of "Kangsi Coming." He also served as a judge in a Taiwanese singing competition on the Bada Entertainment Channel's "100% Entertainment."
