He Zheng-jun

He Zheng-jun, born on June 16, 1963 in Chengdu, Sichuan Province, is a nationally renowned actor in mainland China who graduated from the Central Academy of Drama. He entered the acting department of the Central Academy of Drama in 1982, and four years later, in 1986, he graduated and joined the Shanghai People's Art Theatre to work as an actor. He was nominated for Best Actor at the 9th Golden Rooster and Hundred Flowers Film Festival in 1998 for his role in the movie "國歌(National Anthem)." In 2005, he became well-known because of the TV drama "亮劍 (Bright Sword)". He participated in the TV series "震撼世界的七日 (Seven Days that Shocked the World)" during the 2008 Sichuan Wenchuan earthquake, and all the income from the show was donated to the earthquake-stricken areas. In 2012, He Zhengjun won the Best Actor award at the 8th Sino-American Film Festival for the movie "咱們是親人 (We Are Family)". Since then, he has participated in numerous film and television dramas from 2013 to 2019. In 2015, he also served as the ambassador of love for the China Children and Teenagers' Fund's "Confession Action". In 2021, he was nominated for Best Performance and Best Actor at the 13th Macao International Film Festival for the movie "Father's Land". In the same year, he was appointed as a member of the new committee at the China Television Artists Association Actors Committee's term-changing work conference. At the same time, several films and dramas he participated in were also screened in mainland China. In 2023, he participated in the movie "Under the Light" directed by Zhang Yimou. In 2024, the movie "Ocean Rescue" starring him was also screened in mainland China.
