Grammy Chu

Grammy Chu (Chu Yui-Pan) is a television director from Hong Kong, born on October 3. He joined Hong Kong Television Broadcasts Limited (TVB) in 1991 as an assistant director and transitioned to China Star Entertainment Limited as a director in 1996. He later moved to mainland China to continue his directing career and has participated in directing 50 film and television works by 2021. His representative works include popular dramas such as "The Legend of Chusen/Noble Aspirations," "Ashes of Love," "Skate Into Love," "The Long Ballad," "The Blue Whisper," and "Story of Kunning Palace."
Chu is skilled in directing various genres and has directed several films and television dramas, including "A Chinese Odyssey:Love You a Million Years," "Ashes of Love," "Noble Aspirations," and "Jue Di Cang Lang."
In 1998, he directed the romantic drama "Shanghai Romance," and in 2001, he directed "To Where He Belongs." In 2007, he directed "Project A" and "Glamorous Adventure." In 2015, he directed "Ban Shu Legend." His 2021 series "The Long Ballad" received critical acclaim, and in 2022, he directed "The Blue Whisper." On November 7, 2023, his series "Story of Kunning Palace" premiered, and he also directed "The Starry Love" that year.
Looking ahead, Chu plans to direct the historical romance drama "Blossoms in Adversity" in 2024 and "Moonlight Mystique" in 2025. His career journey reflects a strong foundation in the television industry and a continuous pursuit of innovation, showcasing his passion for film and television creation, whether in variety shows or movies.
