Gordon Lam

Gordon Lam (Lam Ka Tung), born on September 21, 1967, in Hong Kong, is a versatile artist who plays multiple roles such as actor, film producer, screenwriter, and lyricist. He officially entered the entertainment industry in 1988 when he joined the 15th class of the Hong Kong TVB actor training course.
Gordon Lam's entertainment career is diverse and rich, and every change he made from early TV drama roles to later film leads has been affirmed by the audience. In 1995, he gained attention for his successful imitation of singer Jacky Cheung on the TV program "From Act to Act." In 2000, his outstanding performance in the TV drama "Plain Love II" earned him the "My Favorite TV Character" award. In the same year, he signed a contract with superstar Andy Lau, marking the start of his comprehensive and determined development in the film industry. In 2001, he was nominated for the Best Supporting Actor at the Hong Kong Film Awards for the first time.
From 2007 to 2011, Lam Ka Tung served as the vice president of the 8th and 9th councils of the Hong Kong Performing Artistes Guild, dedicating his efforts to bring more opportunities and contributions to the Hong Kong performing arts circle and peers.
The year 2017 marked an important turning point in his acting career. Thanks to his performance in the police and crime film "Trivisa", he won three Best Actor awards in a row, including the Hong Kong Film Award, the Best Actor from the Hong Kong Film Critics Society, and the Best Actor from the Hong Kong Film Directors' Guild. These accolades fully affirmed his efforts and persistence on the path of being an actor.
In 2020, Gordon Lam was nominated for the Golden Horse Award for Best Actor for the first time for his role in the movie "Hand Rolled Cigarette". In 2022, he was doubly nominated for Best Actor at the Hong Kong Film Awards for "Hand Rolled Cigarette" and "Limbo", once again demonstrating his impeccable acting skills and profound strength. With his many years of experience and solid acting skills, Lam continues to redefine himself in the entertainment industry.
