George Hu, originally named Hu Yu-wei, was born on July 24, 1982, in New York City, the United States. He is a versatile Chinese-speaking film and television actor, as well as a pop singer. George entered the entertainment industry in 2006, with his debut role in the TV series "Emerald on the Roof". He later starred in further TV dramas, including "Love At First Fight", "Romantic Princess", and "K.O.3an Guo". In addition to acting, George joined the "Wu Hu Jiang" band in 2009, broadening his recognition in the music field. In 2012, he took the lead role in the romantic drama "Love, Now". He was awarded the Best Actor Award for this role at the "Milk Award Artist of the Year" the following year. In 2015, he starred in the love movie "Where the Wind Settles". In 2016, he starred in the idol drama "Lightning". Between 2020 and 2022, he showcased a diverse range of dramatic styles in several TV series, such as "Wait You In Beijing" and "Shards of Her". In 2023, George officially married Annie Chen in the United States. The same year, an entertainment show he participated in, "阮三特工隊 (Agent Ruan)", was broadcasted, and the TV series he starred in, "The Girls' Lies", aired on Sohu video. Up to this point in his career, George owns a rich experience of participating in over thirty drama performances and releasing two personal EPs.
