Freddy Tang, born in 1982, is a multi-talented Taiwanese individual boasting extensive skills in fields such as law, writing, scriptwriting, and directing. He is adept at narrating legal issues encountered by modern people in the social environment with a realistic approach. His first work, "Fantasy·World," was once acclaimed as a nominee for several Taipei Film Awards.
Having a background in law and working as a lawyer for five years, he successfully earned a scholarship to study for a Master's degree in Film Directing at the California Institute of the Arts. This learning experience provided him with a new perspective and creative inspiration, successfully transitioning him into a film and television creator.
The year 2021 marked an important milestone in his artistic career. His novel, "Port of Lies," not only won the championship of the second "Mirror Fiction's Million Film and Television Novel Award" but was also adapted into a television drama of the same name in the same year. The book discusses issues of sexuality, race, and politics from a unique and collapsing perspective, resonating powerfully with many readers and viewers.
