Francis Ng

Francis Ng (Ng Chun Yu), originally named Ng Chi-Keung, was born on December 21, 1961 in Hong Kong and is of Panyu, Guangdong ancestry. He is an internationally renowned Hong Kong actor and singer. He entered the entertainment industry in 1982 through the TVB actor training program. In 1987, he gained popularity in the drama "The Price Of Growing Up" for his portrayal of a villain. After leaving TVB in 1992, he frequently appeared on the big screen, leaving memorable impacts with performances in films such as "Handsome Siblings", "Once Upon a Time in Triad Society" and the "Young and Dangerous" series. In 2000, he won the Best Actor award at the 6th Hong Kong Film Critics Society Awards for his role in the film "Bullets over Summer", and also received the Best Supporting Actor award at the Hong Kong Film Awards for "2000 AD". That same year, he secured the Best Actor award at the 37th Golden Horse Awards in Taiwan for his role in "The Mission". In 2003, he starred in the TVB mega-hit series "Triumph in the Skies", which went on to become the highest-rated series of the year in Hong Kong. A decade later, his performance in the sequel "Triumph in the Skies II" was equally well-received. In 2014, he starred in the thrilling film "The House That Never Dies", which became the box office champion among domestic thrillers. That same year, he and his son participated in the second season of the Hunan TV reality show "Where Are We Going, Dad?". In 2023, he took part in the suspenseful romance film "Everything is Unknown". In 2024, he starred in the film "Break War", which premiered in mainland China.
