Emily Chang (Chang Jun-han) is a Taiwanese screenwriter residing in Taipei, currently a contracted writer for TYPE.WRITERS Co., Ltd. From 2018 to 2019, she served as a guest lecturer at Shih Hsin University’s Department of Broadcasting, teaching screenwriting courses. She received rigorous training at National Taiwan University’s Drama Department and the Master’s Program in Film at Taipei National University of the Arts, and completed an all-English professional screenwriting course at the New York Film Academy and UCLA. Her mentors include veteran producer Peggy Chiao from the Chinese film industry and Taiwanese director Yee Chih-yen, and she has collaborated closely with renowned directors like Chen Wei-ling, Cheng Fen-fen, and Lee You-ning.
Chang is well-versed in the cultural backgrounds of both sides of the Taiwan Strait and the creative principles of Hollywood, and she is proficient in both Chinese and English writing, with capabilities for international collaboration.
Throughout her career, Chang launched the popular web drama "Finding Soul" on LeTV in 2016, participated in the Ministry of Culture's supported feature film "Conspiracy" in 2014, and released the stage play series "Mysterious Guest: I Want to Go to Work" from 2015 to 2017, all of which received wide acclaim. In 2022, she served as a writer for the television drama "On Marriage" and is set to participate in the upcoming series "Us Without Sex," focusing on sexual therapy, which premiered on September 1, 2024. She is also in the process of producing the unreleased film "Live like cat and man" (2024).
