Ella Chen

Ella Chen (Chen Chia-Hwa), born June 18, 1981, in Linluo Township, Pingtung County, Taiwan, is a well-known singer, actress, and host, and a member of the girl group S.H.E. She participated in the "Universe 2000 Supergirl Contest" in 2000, subsequently signing with HIM International Music Inc.. On September 11, 2001, she officially debuted as a member of S.H.E with their first album, "Girls' Dormitory."
Throughout her career, Chen gained recognition in 2006 when she was nominated for Best Actress at the 41st Golden Bell Awards for her role in the idol drama "Reaching for the Stars." In 2009, she starred in the widely acclaimed series "Down With Love." In 2012, she released her first mini-album, "I Am… Ella Chen," followed by her first official album, "Why Not," in 2015, which ranked among the top ten best-selling albums in Taiwan that year.
In 2014, Chen participated in "TAKE ME OUT Taiwan," earning another nomination for Best Variety Show Host at the Golden Bell Awards. She held the "Seventeen Concert" with S.H.E on September 11, 2018. In 2021, she starred in the comedy film "雀俠奇緣之大三元 (The Legend of the Silver Fox)." In 2022, she appeared in the movie "Summer."
In 2023, Chen participated in Hunan TV's "Ride the Wind 2023," ultimately winning the annual championship. In 2024, she is set to release her second solo album, "BAD HABITS," and star in the drama "Us Without Sex," which premiered in Taiwan.
