Costa Yang

Costa Yang (Yang Dong-liang) is a film and television director from mainland China, born in Wuhan, Hubei Province. He graduated from the Beijing Film Academy's School of Photography in 2004. With over a decade of directing experience, he has produced numerous unique and high-quality advertisements, micro-films, web series, and films. He is known for his cinematic visual style, which features strong tension and distinct characteristics.
In 2016, he directed the large-scale historical fantasy web drama "Demon Out of Chang An," starring Yang Shihan, Wen Zhu, Yuan Zhuo, and Yin Ling. The series premiered exclusively on iQIYI in November 2016. With its captivating storyline and high production quality, the show garnered over 20 million views within the first 24 hours, surpassed 50 million views in four days, and exceeded 100 million views within ten days. It received widespread acclaim from industry professionals and won iQIYI's "Best Marketing" award for the year.
Later, on December 21, 2020, the drama "The Case Solver" that he directed and participated in was released on iQIYI, where Yang Dongliang played a director from the Republic of China era. Following that, on May 2, 2022, his drama "The Case Solver 2" was also launched on iQIYI. On January 9, 2025, Yang Dongliang's directed drama "Towards The Truth" officially aired, continuing to showcase his directorial talent.
