Chuang Ching-shen

Chuang Ching-shen, born on September 26, 1973, in Hsinchu City, Taiwan, is a renowned director who graduated with a master's degree from Taipei National University of the Arts, majoring in film directing. His past experience includes serving as assistant director on the film "7 Days in Heaven," and participating in the production and cinematography of the Golden Horse Award-winning Best Documentary "Jump! Boys". His debut short film "The Eighteenth Birthday Party" was nominated for various international film festivals including Edinburgh and Taipei Film Festival, while his TV films have been consistently nominated for Golden Bell Awards. In 2018, he directed his first full-length feature film "High Flash," which was invited to be the closing film of the 2018 Taipei Film Festival, and was nominated for the best new director and best feature film awards at the Toronto Asian International Film Festival. Following that, in 2019, he directed the movie "The Magnificent Bobita." In 2021, Chuang ventured into TV drama directing with "The Summer Temple Fair". The next year, he returned to the film industry with the sci-fi movie "S–Girl." In 2024, the TV drama "A Wonderful Journey," directed by him, aired.
