Charles Lin, born on June 6, 1991, is a Taiwanese actor and model, graduated from Chinese Culture University. He made his acting debut in 2014 with the film "Café·Waiting·Love," which brought him into the entertainment industry. He gained attention for his resemblance to the character Sendo Akira from the Japanese manga "Slam Dunk." That same year, he participated in the Guangdong TV male talent show "Road to Star" and ultimately reached the national finals' top ten.
In 2017, Lin took on a leading role in the Taiwanese gay romance drama "Dark Blue And Moonlight," which further increased his popularity. He also welcomed a daughter with his girlfriend, J.C Lei, but the couple split up in early 2018. Later that year, he played the male lead Yu Hao in the drama film "The Outsiders" and during this time, he dated Gingle Wang for a year. His performance earned him the Best Newcomer Award at the 33rd anniversary of Catwalk. He also starred in the urban romance drama "N Generations" that year.
In 2019, Lin appeared in the fantasy historical film "Legend of Lv Bu." In 2020, he starred in the urban romantic inspirational drama "Use For My Talent'" and collaborated with Cui Yiliang and Qiao Yaona in the youth film "Blast Racer." In 2021, he played the character Shang Que in the fantasy drama "Love between fairy and devil."
In 2023, Lin participated in the reality show "Housework Talent" with his daughter, Xixi. That same year, he starred in the new dramas "Romance with blind master" and "Love You Seven Times." In 2024, he made a special appearance in the drama "Hero is Back," which premiered on Youku, and the crime drama "Under the Skin 2," which premiered on December 10. Additionally, his lead role in the series "Breeze By The Sea" officially aired that year.
