Cao Kai

Cao Kai, born on April 10, 1976, in Hunan Province, is a male director and actor from mainland China. He graduated from the International Relations Institute of the People's Liberation Army, specializing in special reconnaissance operations command. In 2004, he transitioned to becoming an actor and, leveraging his experience as a special reconnaissance soldier and his good looks, appeared in military-themed film and television dramas such as "江塘集中營 (Jiang Tang Concentration Camp)," "井岡山 (Jinggangshan)," and "Target Locked." In 2021, he began to participate in directing, with his first work being "My Treasure." In 2022, he directed the urban emotional drama "All The Way To The Sun" and served as the assistant director for "Lady of Law." In 2023, he directed the criminal investigation suspense drama "Trident 2," and on November 28 of the same year, his directorial project "Bank on Me" began filming. On February 27, 2024, his crime suspense drama "Bleaching" was officially announced to start production.
