Benny Wong (Wong Wai-keung) is a Hong Kong television writer and script editor for TVB, previously serving as a writer and script editor for Hong Kong Television Network. After graduating from secondary school in 1989, he enrolled in TVB's scriptwriting class, joining the company in the same year as his brother, Wong Kwok-keung. He focused on writing dramas centered around power struggles, with notable works including "Side Beat."
At TVB, he contributed to several productions such as "Gods of Honour," "Hard Fate," and "Burning Flame II." Later, Wong moved to Hong Kong Television Network, where he served as script editor for "The Election" and "DOOM +5." Following the network's failure to obtain a license, he returned to TVB in 2015.
From 2007 to 2008, his high-rated works "Best Selling Secrets" and "Off Pedder" aired consecutively. In 2017, his comedy "A General, A Scholar and A Eunuch" premiered, achieving an average rating of 25 and peaking at 27. In 2019, Wong's scripted series "Big White Duel" received positive reviews after its airing, with an average rating of 28.7 in its first week and reaching 32.1 for the final episode. He later collaborated with Marco Law to produce "Big White Duel 2," which achieved a rating of 21.1 upon its premiere on Jade Channel.
On January 15, 2024, the professional drama "The Airport Diary" edited by Wong aired on TVB Jade Channel.
