Bai Yi-cong

Bai Yi-cong is a versatile figure in the China's film and television industry, active as a director, screenwriter, producer, and filmmaker. Born in 1978 in Bozhou, Anhui province, he graduated from the Directing Department of the Central Academy of Drama in 2000. He founded Linghe Culture Media (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. and serves as its CEO, and holds a director position in the Youth Work Committee of the China Television Drama Production Industry Association. In 2002, Bai Yi-cong first gained wide recognition in the industry when he contributed to the screenplay of the award-winning TV series "Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils". In 2010, his co-directed TV series "新安家族 (Xin'an Family)" with Peigen Zhang was hotly broadcasted on CCTV Channel One. In 2014, he was the screenwriter and producer for the urban romantic comedy "Dating Hunter", and served as producer and screenwriter for the web series "The Death Notice". In the following years, he continued to release a series of excellent works including the 2015 sci-fi web drama "Falling Down", the 2016 adventure suspense drama "The Mystic Nine" and "Candle in the Tomb". In 2018, he produced "Imagine Me Without You", which won the "Excellent Web Drama of the Year" award at the 2018 Network Audio-Visual Annual Feast. In addition, he also won the "Top Ten Young TV Producers in China" award from the first Initial Heart List. From 2019 to 2021, he was the executive producer for works like "他的微笑 (His Smile)", "Hot-Blooded Youth", "Ultimate Note", and "The Imperial Coroner". In 2023, he once again served as the executive producer and producer for the TV series "Three-Body". In 2024, at the Annual Feast of Chinese TV series, he was honored as the Producer of the Year.
