BabyJohn Choi (Choi Hon Yick), originally named Choi Ming Yan, is a male actor born on December 8, 1986, in Hong Kong. He graduated from the School of Drama at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts in 2009. His acting career initially developed in stage plays and commercials until his leading role in his first film "The Way We Dance" in 2013 attracted a great deal of attention. This film also earned him the Best New Actor award at the 33rd Hong Kong Film Awards and the Hong Kong Film Directors' Guild. In 2014, he took on the lead role in the thriller "Twilight.Online". In January 2015, he starred in the comedy film "12 Golden Ducks", followed by a lead role in the crime action film "SPL II: A Time for Consequences" in June. In March 2016, he transitioned to Mainland China, where his leading role in the romantic film "Guia In Love" was screened. In 2017, he participated in the action film "Shock Wave", directed by Herman Yau and led by Andy Lau. In recent years, BabyJohn has been active in both the film and TV industry.
