Austin Lin (Lin Bo-Hong), born on January 27, 1988 in Taipei, is a talented Taiwanese actor, singer and television host. His career started in 2007 when he participated in TTV's second "One Million Star", where his unique style and talent quickly gained public attention.
In 2009, he acted in his first movie, "Somewhere I Have Never Travelled", for which he received nominations for Best Actor and Best Newcomer at that year's Taipei Film Festival, solidifying his position in the movie industry. Following closely in 2010, he also broke into the television industry by starring in his first television drama, "Rice Family/The Kuan's Family". This year, his name spread among the audience segment.
Lin Bo-Hong's career reached a new peak in 2016 when his outstanding performance in the movie "At Café 6" won him the honor of the Best Supporting Actor at the 53rd Golden Horse Awards, unexpectedly trumping veteran actors like Eric Tsang and Lam Suet. His acting skills, undeniably, gained increasingly wider recognition.
He did not stop in his acting career. In 2020, his leading role in the movie "I Weirdo" earned him another nomination for the Best Actor Award at the Golden Horse Awards. Simultaneously, Austin Lin's talent was recognized in other areas as well. In 2022, he won the Golden Bell Award for Best Host in an Educational & Reality Program due to his hosting abilities.
In 2023, he starred in several vital film and television works such as "Marry My Dead Body", "Day Off", and "Salli", proving his capabilities once more. Whether on stage or on the silver screen, Austin wins the love of his audience with his multi-talent and abundant passion.
