Aozaru Shiao
Aozaru Shiao (Shiao Li Shiou), born in 1976, is a Taiwanese film director, screenwriter, and cinematographer who graduated from the Film Institute of the National Taipei University of the Arts. His works are filled with experimentation and thoughtfulness, skilled in using non-realistic methods and emphasizing visual effects, including short films "COPY:COPY", "Lamb" and feature films "Brotherhood Of Legion" and others. His directing style focuses on the collaboration of the story and the actors, creating heartfelt works through the right story and the right actors.
In 2015, Aozaru Shiao shined with his directorial work "Wake Up". The film swept the 50th Golden Bell Awards, including the awards for Mini Series / TV Movies, Director of Mini Series / TV Movies, as well as the Screenplay Award won by Huang Jian-Ming and Wang Hui-Zhu, and Best Supporting Actor in a Mini Series (TV Movie) won by Wu Kang-Ren. Additionally, he also won the silver award in the TV commercial category of the Times Advertising Golden Calf Awards.
