Anthony Pun

Anthony Pun (Pun Yiu Ming) is a film director and cinematographer from Hong Kong, and he is also a member of the Hong Kong Society of Cinematographers (HKSC). He is a student of the cinematographer Joe Chan Kwong-Hung and first entered the film industry in 1994 as the director of photography for the film "Lantern", directed by Lau Kar-Yung. Pun Yiu-ming often collaborates with notable directors like Benny Chan Muk Sing, Alan Mak Siu-Fai, and Felix Chong Man-Keung. His contribution to the movie "Divergence" in 2005 earned him the honor of Best Cinematography at the Golden Horse Awards. Then in 2013, the film "The Silent War" led to his winning the Best Cinematography award at the Hong Kong Film Awards. In 2017, he ventured into directing for the first time, co-directing the film "Extraordinary Mission" with Alan Mak. By 2022, his work on the film "Anita" got him nominated again for Best Cinematography at the 40th Hong Kong Film Awards. In 2023, his directorial feature "One More Chance" hit cinemas. Notably, his cinematic contributions to the movie "The Goldfinger" garnered him once again the title of Best Cinematography at the Hong Kong Film Awards in 2024.
