Annie Chen (Chen Ting-ni), born on April 28, 1989, is a Taiwanese actress and model. In 2007, she entered the entertainment industry after winning the championship in the Catwalk Dream Model Search Competition. She initially studied in the Department of Finance and Banking at Kainan University but later transferred to the Department of Finance and Banking at Hsing Wu University of Science and Technology to accommodate her acting career, eventually applying for a leave of absence. Starting in 2008, Annie Chen began her acting career, gaining notable attention for her performance in the drama "Prince + Princess 2." Over the following years, she played significant roles in various idol dramas such as "Happy & Love Forever," "Momo Love," "Inborn Pair," "Love, Now," and "Love Around." In 2012 and 2013, she won the Best Actress Award at the Taiwan Huading Awards for her performances in "Inborn Pair" and "Love Around." In 2014, she starred in the workplace drama "Boysitter." Annie Chen made her film debut in 2016 with "White Lies, Black Lies," earning a nomination for Best New Performer at the 53rd Golden Horse Awards. In 2017, her outstanding performance in the PTS Life Story series "The Long Goodbye" earned her a nomination for Best Actress in a Miniseries or TV Movie at the 52nd Golden Bell Awards. In 2021, her role in the film "Terrorizers" garnered her another nomination, this time for Best Supporting Actress at the 58th Golden Horse Awards. In July 2023, she officially registered her marriage in New York with fellow Taiwanese actor George Hu. In 2024, she starred in the TV series "Haunted House for Sale."
