Allison Lin

Allison Lin, born on January 26, 1985 in Taipei, is a versatile Taiwanese actress. She attended the high school department of Sung Kwang Girls' High School and earned a bachelor's degree in Interactive Multimedia Design from the Art Institute of Houston in the United States. However, far from her original intention of a design-related profession, she served as a flight attendant for Cathay Pacific Airways in Hong Kong for nearly four years. During this period, she discovered a thyroid tumor. She decided to resign from her job as a flight attendant to receive treatment, and afterwards, she returned to Taiwan and worked as a drama planner at TVBS.
She gained attention for her excellent role as an assistant in the TVBS drama "Rock N' Road" in 2014, thus officially beginning her acting career. Allison Lin went on to star in major period dramas such as "HARU" on TTV and highly-rated "Love Cuisine" on SET. In 2016, she participated in the TV series "Royal Highness," and on March 24, 2019, she appeared in the PTS series "The World Between Us."
From her experience in her acting career, she has displayed extremely diverse talents. In 2017, she was nominated for the Best Actress Award for a TV Program at the 52nd Golden Bell Awards for her role in "Love By Design." During this period, her passion for photography also became widely known. In 2018, she held her first photography exhibition, "Instant Documentation." In 2019 and 2020, she published two photography collections, "Timeslice Conciousness" and "Nomadic Eyes" consecutively. In 2021 and 2023, she was nominated again for the Best Actress Golden Bell Award with the dramas "Adventure of the Ring" and "Taiwan Crime Stories: Derailment". Meanwhile, she also published her third photography collection, "36".
