Aaron Yan

Aaron Yan, whose real name is Wu Bing-Ru, was born on November 20, 1985, in Taipei City, Taiwan. He is a Taiwanese singer, songwriter, actor, and host. In 2004, he was discovered by a manager through a photo posted on a dating website and made his acting debut in the TV drama "From Africa Coming Back". In November 2005, he starred in the sci-fi series "KO ONE" and officially debuted as a member of the boy band "Fahrenheit" that December, releasing their album "Fahrenheit". In 2008, he took on his first leading role in the suspense drama "Mysterious Incredible Terminator". In 2010, he starred in the campus suspense drama "Gloomy Salad Days". In 2011, he released his first mini-album, "The Next Aaron Yan". In May 2012, he starred in the romantic musical "Alice in Wonder City" and released his first studio album, "Anniversary", in October of the same year. In 2013, he starred in the romantic drama "Just You". In 2014, he won the Asian Star Award at the 10th Seoul Drama Awards for his role in the love drama "Fall in Love with Me".
In 2015, he debuted in Japan under the English name "Aaron," releasing his first Japanese single, "Moisturizing". In March 2016, he starred in the career romance drama "Refresh Man", and in July, he appeared in the urban emotional drama "Memories of Love". In 2017, he starred in the urban romantic comedy "Kiss Love and Taste" and the historical suspense drama "Please Give Me A Pair of Wings". On March 30, 2018, he released the EP "The Place I Most Want to Go", followed by the EP "Dear Monster" in September. In April 2019, he released a personal photo gift box titled "Soul Adventure King". In 2020, he joined Sony Music Taiwan. On July 3, 2024, reports emerged that he was accused of filming and possessing private videos of minors. The Shilin District Court sentenced him to seven months in prison for two charges, which could be commuted to a fine, and four months for another charge without the option of a fine, all under a three-year probation.
