Aaron Kwok (Kwok Fu Shing), a male singer and actor from Hong Kong, was born on October 26, 1965. He was one of the representatives of the "Four Heavenly Kings" and dynamic artists in the Hong Kong music scene during the 1990s. Turning his focus towards the film industry starting from 2000, he consecutively secured the Best Actor accolade at Taiwan's Golden Horse Awards in 2005 and 2006 with his performances in "Divergence" and "After This Our Exile", making him the second male actor to achieve this honor after Jackie Chan. In 2013, Kwok also won the Best Actor Award at the British Chinese Film Festival for his role in "Silent Witness".
Additionally, both "Storm Riders" (where he was the lead actor in 1998) and "Cold War" (where he starred in 2012) became Hong Kong box office champions in their respective years. He also won the Best Actor Award at the 35th Hong Kong Film Awards for his role in "Port of Call" in 2016. Furthermore, "Cold War II", starring Kwok, became the box office record holder for Chinese films in Hong Kong in the same year.
Beyond his performance career, Kwok is also a generous contributor to public welfare and charity. In 2000, he established the Aaron Kwok International Charity Foundation. In 2003, he was selected as one of the Ten Outstanding Young Persons in Hong Kong. Then, in 2011, he took on the role of Regional Ambassador for East Asia and the Pacific for the United Nations Children's Fund.
