Lin Chun-yang

Lin Chun-yang, born on December 19, 1980, in Changhua, Taiwan, graduated from the Department of Communication Arts at Fu Jen Catholic University and the Graduate Institute of Filmmaking at the Taipei National University of the Arts, majoring in directing. He is currently a freelance filmmaker and the head of 發條映畫有限公司, specialising in film directing and photography, and has been nominated for the Best Cinematography award at the Golden Bell Awards several times.
In 2003, Lin Chun-yang began dipping his toes in the film industry by serving as an assistant director for the romantic comedy "Love of May." He came under the spotlight in 2012 when he directed "The Soul of the Bread," and was highly appreciated by the mayor of his hometown, Changhua. Then, in 2015, he debuted as an independent director with his first full-length film "When Miracle Meets Maths."
Lin Chun-yang's professional ability and passion for filmmaking have led him to outstanding achievements in the industry. In 2019, he co-directed the EBC drama "Brave to Love" with Lee Yun-Chan and directed the social realism drama "The World Between Us" on Public Television Service, which eventually led him to win the "Best Director for Drama Program" at the 54th Golden Bell Awards.
Without any signs of slowing down, Lin Chun-yang has continued to bring his talent to bear in the film and television industry. In 2020, he directed "Gold Leaf," a contemporary life drama. By 2023, his work "Eye of the Storm" had won him Best Director at the 25th Taipei Film Awards. He keeps extending his filmography, becoming a force that cannot be ignored in Taiwan's film and television industry.
