Sam Ho

Sam Ho (Ho Shu-Pui), originally named Ho Lok, was born on July 21, 1959. He is a renowned television director from Hong Kong, originally from Dongguan, Guangdong. Currently, he serves as the vice president of the Hong Kong Directors' Association. He began his acting career in 1978 after participating in the fourth actor training class and the first martial arts artist training class at Rediffusion Television Limited.
From 1978 to 1983, he took on supporting roles in various television dramas, during which time he was injured while working as a stunt performer, leading him to transition to behind-the-scenes work. In 1988, he joined Hong Kong's TVB, working as an assistant director and then as a director. After completing his work on the 1997 version of "The Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils 1997," he moved to mainland China for further development. In 1999, he directed his first mainland Chinese television drama, "Love Talks."
Over the next twenty years, he directed several popular television dramas, including "Pretty Maid" (2009), "Legend of Fragrance" (2015), "The Mystic Nine" (2016), "The Legend Of Dugu" (2018), "Begonia Rouge" (2019), "And the Winner Is Love" (2020), and the upcoming "Immortality" (release pending). In 2018, he won the Best Director Award at the 9th Macau International Television Festival for "The Legend Of Dugu." In 2017, he served as a mentor and judge for "Next Idol." In November 2018, he directed the television drama "Killer and Healer." In 2025, his directed series "The Blossoming Love" will air.
