Julian Cheung (Cheung Chi-lam) was born on August 27, 1971, in Hong Kong, with ancestral roots in Nanhai District, Foshan, Guangdong Province. In 1984, his parents divorced, and in 1987, he immigrated to Australia with his father, attending Pendle Hill High School in Sydney. After completing high school in 1990, he initially planned to enroll in a university in Australia, but during a visit back to Hong Kong, he was unexpectedly discovered and began his music and acting career in 1991. That year, he released his debut album, "Modern Love Story," which earned him the bronze award for Most Popular New Artist at the 10th Top Ten Chinese Gold Songs Awards. In 1992, Cheung entered the film and television industry, appearing in the movie "Legend of the Liquid Sword" and the TV series "The Peak of Passion." By 1994, he had starred in the TV dramas "Remembrance" and "The Legend of the Condor Heroe," achieving notable success. From 1998 to 1999, Cheung's music career stagnated as he focused on film development. In 2000, he played the role of Man Choi in the TV drama "Return of the Cuckoo," which set viewership records and became the top-rated show of the year. This role garnered him renewed attention, and he released a new album titled "Tightly Held." In 2003, his hit song "Love Without Dreams" became the theme song for the TV drama "Point of No Return," receiving enthusiastic responses.。In 2009, Cheung returned to the music scene, signing with Neway Star and releasing the new song "You're Too Kind," which was well-received. In 2011, he held his first personal concert, "I Am an Alien," marking twenty years in the industry.
