Chris Yeo

Chris Yeo (Yeo Siew Hua), born on April 1, 1985, is a film director and screenwriter from Singapore. He began his professional career in 2009 with his self-written and directed debut feature film, "In the House of Straw," which was also nominated at the Bangkok International Film Festival. In 2012, he directed the short film "Wormhole," which was featured at the Kinoflow Kísérleti Film Festival. In 2014, he shot the documentary "The Obs: A Singapore Story."
In 2015, Yang directed the short film "Mountain of Knives," which was nominated at the 12th Singapore Short Cuts. In 2016, he directed another short film, "The Minotaur." His feature film "A Land Imagined" won the Golden Leopard at the Locarno International Film Festival in 2018, earning him a nomination for Best New Director at the 13th Asian Film Awards. In 2019, his short film "Incantation" was screened at the Singapore International Film Festival.
On December 8, 2023, his directed television series "Deep End" officially aired. In 2024, his film "Stranger Eyes" will be released in Taiwan.
