Kaiser Chuang

Kaiser Chuang (Chuang Kai-hsun), born on March 22, 1981, is a Taiwanese actor from Zhutang Township in Changhua County. He graduated from the National Taipei University of the Arts with a degree in drama performance. Active in the entertainment industry, he has appeared in numerous television dramas, films, and stage plays, and he studied under the renowned Peking opera martial artist Li Bojun. He is also skilled in playing the guitar and saxophone.
In 2005, Kaiser Chuang made his acting debut in the television drama "Lian Lian Jiu Shan Xian," where he played the role of Liu Ying-hui. That same year, he appeared in his first film, "Do Over," portraying an air marshal. In 2010, he starred alongside Vins Wang Yi-cheng in the contemporary drama "Breaking Free," playing the character A-Xiu, who ends up in prison due to drug use. This role earned him nominations for Best Supporting Actor at the 45th Golden Bell Awards and the Best Supporting Actor award at the 15th Asian Television Awards in Singapore.
In 2011, he was selected as one of the most popular stars in the Yahoo polls and nominated for the Seoul International Drama Awards. In 2012, he collaborated with James Wen and Fanny Liu Leyan in the film "My Dear Stilt," where he played Lin Jia-xiong, the younger brother of the main character Lin Jia-min, earning a nomination for Best Supporting Actor at the 49th Golden Horse Awards.
In 2013, he appeared in the sports drama "Step Back to Glory," playing the strict coach Guo. In March of the same year, he starred as a surgeon in the idol drama "Happy 300 Days." In October, he participated in the idol drama "The Pursuit of Happiness," portraying the carefree character He Wei-ting.
In 2014, he took on a leading role in the romantic film "Taipei Factory," where he conversed fluently in English with Italian actor Marco Foschi. In 2015, Kaiser Chuang was nominated for Best Actor at the 50th Golden Bell Awards for his roles in the public television drama series "The Road Home" and "An Outing," ultimately winning for "The Road Home." That same year, he appeared in the action comedy film "Maverick," earning the Best Supporting Actor award at the 18th Taipei Film Festival.
In 2016, he delivered an impressive performance in the suspense crime film "Who Killed Cock Robin," earning a nomination for Best Actor at the 54th Golden Horse Awards. In 2020, he starred in the television drama "Hate the Sin, Love the Sinner," which was nominated for the 55th Golden Bell Awards for Best Drama Program. In 2021, he participated in the television drama "Trinity of Shadow."
On November 10, 2023, the television drama "At the Moment" that he participated in premiered on Netflix. In 2024, he appeared in the television drama "Haunted House for Sale" which aired on May 31, and the drama "Crime Scene Cleaner," which was officially released on September 29.
