Katy Kung

Katy Kung Ka-yan was born on December 5, 1989, in Hong Kong. She is an active actress, host, and model. Katy began her entertainment career in 2005 as a model. In 2008, she signed with TVB and participated in her first television drama, "Dressage To Win." She then appeared in the fashion drama "Just Love II" in 2009 and starred in the period action drama "Ghost Writer" in 2010.
In 2012, Katy gained attention for her role as the aunt in "Beauty at War II." In 2013, she made her debut in the comedy "The Day of Days," and in 2014, she participated in the mystery drama "Storm in a Cocoon." In 2015, her fashion comedy "Romantic Repertoire" premiered. In 2016, Katy won the Best Supporting Actress award at the 2016 TVB Anniversary Awards for her role as Cheng Si-yu in "Two Steps From Heaven." That same year, she formed the "Young Wives Alliance" with Chan Hoi-lam, Tam Hoi-ki, and Shum Cheuk-ying, gaining fame from their work on "The Forgotten Valley."
In 2020, Katy portrayed multiple villainous roles in "The Dripping Sauce," "Death By Zero," and "Hong Kong Love Stories," receiving acclaim for her performances. She won the Most Popular TV Female Character award for "Hong Kong Love Stories" and the Most Favorite TVB Female Lead in Malaysia award for "Death By Zero," also making her first appearance in the final five for Best Actress.
In June 2022, Katy starred in "Brutally Young 2.0," playing Shen Yue. In July, she appeared in "Touch the Sky" as Zhang Ning and participated in "Unchained Medley." By the end of the year, she was nominated for the final ten for Most Popular TV Female Character at the 2022 TVB Anniversary Awards for "Brutally Young 2.0." In January 2023, her series "Treasure of Destiny" aired, where she played Zhu Yingjiao. In July, she portrayed the female ghost Yun Liufang in "Unchained Medley," performing her own wire work. Her acting received praise from the audience, leading to nominations for Best Actress and Most Favorite TVB Female Lead in the Greater Bay Area at the 2023 TVB Anniversary Awards.
