Forest Wen

Forest Wen (Wen Chen-ling), born on October 23, 1992, is a Taiwanese actress and television host. She graduated from Tamkang University with a degree in Russian Language and Literature. Her family background is quite unique; her mother is a Filipino Chinese with Spanish ancestry, while her father has Hakka and Japanese heritage. When she was about two years old, her father passed away, and her mother raised her alone, which fostered her maturity and independence from a young age. She has shared that the language barrier with her mother often required her to assist in many aspects, leading her to take on family responsibilities early in life.
Wen Chen-ling officially debuted in 2008 by participating in the variety show "Unbeatable Youth." She subsequently appeared in her first film and television work, the inspirational drama "The Kite Soaring" in 2010. In 2011, she played the young version of the female lead in the romantic idol drama "Ex-boyfriend," showcasing her acting skills.
In 2012, she portrayed the main character's super fan, Annie, in the urban romance drama "In Between," which further increased her visibility. In 2014, she played a troubled student named Lu Jialing in the television movie "Dawn / Spring," earning her the Best Supporting Actress Award at the 49th Golden Bell Awards. That same year, she also starred in the urban prophecy film "Love in Vain."
In 2017, Wen Chen-ling was appointed as the film ambassador for the 19th Taipei Film Festival. She won the Best Actress Award for Mini-Series/Television Movie at the 52nd Golden Bell Awards for her role in "The Last Verse," becoming one of the youngest recipients at that time. In 2019, she was nominated for Best Supporting Actress at the 56th Golden Horse Awards for her role in the film "A Sun," and in 2021, she received another nomination for Best Supporting Actress at the 58th Golden Horse Awards for "Leave Me Alone."
In 2022, she ventured into hosting with "Three Piglets 3," earning the Golden Bell Award for Best Educational and Reality Program Host. In 2024, her starring series "You Are My Sister" premiered.
