He Bing

He Bing (born April 26, 1968) is a Chinese actor born in Beijing. He graduated from the Central Academy of Drama's acting department and holds a National First-Class Actor qualification. He is currently an actor at the Beijing People's Art Theatre. After finishing his studies in 1991, He Bing joined the Beijing People's Art Theatre, and from 1993 to 1999, he participated in several films and television dramas, including "I Love My Family," "Romance of the Three Kingdoms," and "The Dream Factory," gradually gaining recognition for his portrayal of "small characters."
In 1999, he won the 16th Plum Blossom Award for Theatre for his role in the play "雨過天晴 (After the Rain)," marking his first significant award in his acting career. In 2004, he won the Plum Blossom Award again for "Sacrifice" and also received the 5th China Drama Golden Lion Award that same year. In 2005, He Bing took on his first leading role as Song Ci in the suspense drama "Judge of Song Dynasty," a role that further elevated his prominence in the acting industry. In 2008, he starred in the play "刺客 (Assassin)" and won the Best Actor Award at the 18th Shanghai White Magnolia Theater Arts Awards.
In 2015, he won the Best Actor award at the 18th Shanghai International Film Festival for his performance in the movie "12 Citizens." In 2018, he received the Best Actor award at the 24th Shanghai Television Festival White Magnolia Awards for his outstanding performances in the TV dramas "White Deer Plain" and "Full House." He also won the Excellent Male Actor Award at the 32nd China Television Flying Apsaras Awards. In 2019, he was nominated for the Best Actor award at the White Magnolia Awards for his role in "Memories of Peking." In 2020, he served as a judge for the 26th Shanghai Television Festival White Magnolia Awards.
In 2023, He Bing directed two plays, "代價 (The Price)" and "趙氏孤兒 (The Orphan of Zhao)," and he is set to participate in the Beijing Radio and Television's Spring Festival Gala in 2024. As a representative of skilled acting, He Bing exudes confidence on stage and is capable of flexibly interpreting various roles. Whether in comedy or serious drama, his performances always leave a lasting impression on the audience.
