Uncle Three (Nan Pai San Shu), whose real name is Xu Lei, was born on February 20, 1982, in Jiaxing, Zhejiang, China. He is a renowned online writer in China, best known for the "Grave Robber's Chronicles" series. He currently resides in Hangzhou and previously worked as a staff member in a foreign trade company. He is also the founder and editor-in-chief of the magazine "Super Nice magazine." He claims to have grown up listening to grave robbery stories, as many of his family members were engaged in the antique business, but he has never collected grave robbery items or explored ancient tombs.
In January 2007, the first book of the "Grave Robber's Chronicles" series was published, and by December 2011, the series was completed with nine books, achieving total sales of over 12 million copies. In the same year, he founded the magazine "Super Nice magazine" and established the "Nan Pai San Shu" comic studio, ranking second on the writer's rich list with a royalty income of 15.8 million yuan. In 2010, his works "大漠蒼狼—絕地勘探 (Desert Wolf—Exploration in the Abyss)" and "怒江之戰 (Battle of Nujiang)" were published consecutively. In August 2012, "藏海花 (Tibetan Sea Flower)" was published, continuing the story five years after "Grave Robber's Chronicles." In the same year, "Grave Robber's Chronicles" won the Best Adventure Novel Award and ranked ninth on the "2012 Seventh China Writer's Rich List" with a royalty income of 8.5 million yuan.
In 2013, he published "Tomb of the Sea: Strange Shadows in the Desert" and "Tomb of the Sea 2: Nest of the Sand Python," announcing his retirement from writing. In 2014, he made a comeback due to copyright issues with "Grave Robber's Chronicles," establishing Hangzhou Nan Pai Investment Management Co., Ltd., focusing on IP ecosystem operations, and starting projects like "Grave Robber's Chronicles" and "The Mystic Nine." In 2015, he resumed writing "The Mystic Nine" and "Adventure Of The Brave" on Weibo, and the film "Grave Robber's Chronicles," for which he served as a screenwriter, was completed, earning him the 12th Weibo Annual Influence Award. In 2020, he served as producer and screenwriter for the TV drama "Reunion: The Sound of the Providence," and joined the Chinese Writers Association. In August 2021, he joined Douyin, and in 2023, he became the vice chairman of the Zhejiang Province Online Writers Association.
