Pan Bin-long

Pan Bin-long

Pan Bin-long was born on July 12, 1977, in Jixi City, Heilongjiang Province. He is an actor and comedic performer in mainland China. He graduated from the Xiangsheng Performance Program at the Central Academy of Drama, studying under Feng Gong and Chang Li. In 1996, Pan Binlong enlisted in the military, and after retiring in 2003, he was admitted to the Central Academy of Drama the following year. In 2005, he won first prize in the Beijing Xiangsheng Comedic Performance Invitation Contest with his work "Same Under the Blue Sky." In 2008, he made his debut on the CCTV Spring Festival Gala stage, performing the Xiangsheng drama "Public Transport Concerto," which won a first prize in the program evaluation.
In 2012, he became a comedic star and earned the nickname "Da Pan" while performing as a lead actor in "Happy City: Love in the Conference Room." He rose to fame in 2015 for his role as Dong Chenglong in the film "Jian Bing Man." In 2018, he appeared in "A Cool Fish," which won him the Best Supporting Actor award at the Macau International Film Festival and the Best Actor award at the Duyun Film and Television Festival. In 2020, the film he starred in, "The Old Town Girls," was nominated for the Tokyo International Film Festival. In 2021, he made a cameo in "Hi, Mom," directed by Jia Ling, which became the second highest-grossing film in Chinese history. That same year, he won the "Star Diamond Overall Championship" in the final of "I am the Actor S3." In 2024, Pan Binlong participated in the CCTV Spring Festival Gala, performing the program "Winter Sunshine."
