Liu Bo-wen
Liu Bowen, a mainland Chinese director, graduated in 2015 from the Central Academy of Drama with a major in Film and Television. He has a passion for movies and excels at crafting touching narratives. In 2016, his graduation short film "罪後一次 (After the Crime)" won the Best Director Award (Drama Category) at the 13th Global Chinese University Student Film and Television Festival. In 2017, Liu Bowen received joint investment from Ciwen Media and iQiyi to shoot "The Farewell Girls ." The film achieved over ten million views within six days of its exclusive release on iQiyi, with its Douban rating once exceeding 7 points. In 2018, he directed the youth inspirational film "Listen To You," which was released on iQiyi and earned him the Newcomer Director of the Year award at the Internet Film Summit. That same year, both "Listen To You" and "The Farewell Girls" were nominated for the Golden Angel Award at the 14th Chinese American Film Festival and Chinese American TV Festival. In 2021, Liu Bowen co-directed the TV series "Be Yourself." On June 28, 2024, his film "Life Hotel" was released.
