Peng Yu-chang

Peng Yu-chang, born on October 25, 1994, in Xinyu, Jiangxi Province, graduated from the Puppetry Department of the Shanghai Theatre Academy and is a Chinese mainland actor. His screen debut was the 2015 online drama "Go Princess Go", in which he played the role of Eunuch Qiang, officially entering the entertainment industry and gaining public attention. In the same year, he also appeared as a host on Hunan TV's "Day Day Up" as part of the "Little Brothers" segment. In 2017, Peng Yuchang starred in the campus inspirational film "Our Shining Days", earning a nomination for Best Actor at the 20th Shanghai International Film Festival Asian New Talent Awards for his performance. That same year, he participated in Zhejiang TV's variety show "演員的誕生 (Birth of an Actor)", where he made it to the top 15. In 2018, Peng Yuchang became a regular member of the Hunan TV variety show "Back to Field" for its second season. In August of the same year, he starred in the film "Go Brother!", which grossed 375 million yuan at the box office. In October, he was nominated for Best Actor at the 55th Golden Horse Awards for his role in the film "An Elephant Sitting Still". In December, he crossed over into voice acting, providing the voice for the main character Miles in the movie "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse". In 2019, Peng Yuchang won the Best Newcomer Award at the 26th Beijing College Student Film Festival for his performance in "Go Brother!". In August of the same year, he was included in the Forbes China Celebrity List for the first time, ranking 57th; in October, he was again included in the Forbes China 30 Under 30 Elite List for 2019.
In 2020, Peng Yuchang starred in the TV series "Run For Young", and the film "Bath Buddy", which also gained him more popularity. In 2021, he starred in the film "The Pioneer", playing the role of Zhang Xueliang. That same year, he also appeared in the comedy film "The Day We Lit Up the Sky". In 2022, Peng Yuchang participated in the sixth season of Hunan TV's variety show "Back to Field" and the fourth season of the reality show "Great Escape", which aired on Mango TV. On January 21, 2023, Peng Yuchang participated in the 2023 China Central Radio and Television Spring Festival Gala, singing the song "青春向太陽 (Youth Towards the Sun)". On August 4, he starred in the series "I Am Nobody", which premiered on Youku, playing the role of Zhang Chulan. On September 13, he finished filming the movie "Moments We Shared". On January 10, 2024, it was announced that Peng Yuchang's leading film "Viva La Vida" would be released on February 10, and "Moments We Shared" on June 22. On January 13, Peng Yuchang won the 2023 Weibo Night Annual Charming Actor Award. On February 6 of the same year, his starring film "Miss Wild Elephant" began filming.
