Lu Zheng, born in 1980 in Beijing, is a Chinese author, lyricist, and screenwriter. He is a policeman in Beijing, was a member of the Public Security Ministry's Fox Hunt operation team, and is a member of the China Writers Association, a director of the National Public Security Federation, and a contracted writer of the National Public Security Association. Starting in 2004, he would write a novel every year, and over 12 years, he produced 12 novels, winning awards including the "Flint Literature Award for Best Suspense Novella", "First Prize in the 6th National Detective Fiction Competition", and five consecutive Public Security Department Golden Shield Literature Awards. Many of his novels have been adapted into movies or TV productions. Lu Zheng's detective experience enriches the depth and twists and turns of his novel plots. In 2011, he served as the screenwriter for the crime suspense film "Always in sight". In 2016, he was the screenwriter for the TV drama "愛的距離 (The Distance of Love)". In 2020, he won the Golden Shield Literature Award for the fifth consecutive year. In 2021, his TV drama "Three Old Boys" earned him nominations for the Best Screenplay at the 27th Shanghai TV Festival Magnolia Awards and the 29th Huading Awards. In 2024, "Three Old Boys" was released in mainland China, and in the same year, he became the script consultant for the TV drama "Ruthless People".
