Fan Wei
Fan Wei, born on September 2, 1962 in Shenyang, Liaoning, is a Chinese mainland male actor, comedic performer, and National First-Class Actor. He first came into public view in 1995 when he performed the sketch "牛大叔提幹" at the CCTV Spring Festival Gala. In 2001, he once again performed the sketch "賣拐" at the Spring Festival Gala, and won first prize. In 2003, Fan Wei was named one of the "Top Ten Outstanding Youths in Liaoning Province". Three years later, he won the Special Performer Award (Golden Key Award) at the 30th Cairo International Film Festival for his captivating performance in the movie "The Road". In 2007, the comedy film "Lucky Dog" that Fan Wei starred in was nominated for the Best Actor award at the 9th Chinese Film Media Awards. In 2009, his starring role in the TV series "Brothers' Happiness" helped him win two significant awards: the Audience's Favorite TV Actor at the 25th China TV Golden Eagle Award and the Most Charismatic Actor at the 16th Shanghai TV Festival.Entering the 2010s, he had outstanding performances in TV series such as "Married Love First", "Shang Zhen Fu Zi Bing", and "小寶和老財 (Little Bao and Old Fortune)". In 2016, Fan Wei co-starred in Feng Xiaogang's comedy movie "I Am Not Madame Bovary". In the same year, the film "Mr. No Problem" which he starred in won the Best Artistic Contribution Award at the 29th Tokyo International Film Festival and he won the Best Actor Award at both the 53rd Taiwanese Golden Horse Film Festival and the 7th Beijing International Film Festival. In 2017, his films "The One" and "Father and Son" were released in succession. In 2021, Fan Wei won the Best Supporting Actor at the 34th China's Golden Rooster Awards for his film "One Second". In the following year of 2022, Fan Wei's film "The Fallen Bridge" was released, and he participated in the 2023 Spring Festival Gala of China Central Radio and Television. In the same year, Fan Wei received the Best Actor Award at the 18th Seoul TV Drama Awards for his series "Long Season", and at the end of the year he participated in "If You Are The One 3". In 2024, Fan Wei, with his performance in the film "Strangers When We Meet", won both the Drama Quality Ceremony Annual Quality Glory Star Award and the Best Actor Award at the 14th Beijing International Film Festival Tiantan Award.
