Charmaine Sheh

Charmaine Sheh (Sheh Sze-man) is a renowned actress from Hong Kong, born on May 28, 1975, in Hong Kong, with her family roots traced back to Zhuhai, Guangdong. She graduated from the Swiss International School of Hotel Management and entered the entertainment industry after winning the third runner-up in the Miss Hong Kong pageant in 1997. During her peak, she became TVB's "Number One Sister". In 2000, her role in the fashion drama "Return of the Cuckoo" won her the "My Favorite Television Character" award. Over the next few years, she delivered outstanding performances in series such as "The Heaven Sword & the Dragon Sabre 2000", "Perish In Name Of Love", and "War and Beauty". In 2006, she won the Best Actress award for her role in "Maiden's Vow". In 2008 and 2009, she played leading roles in "Forensic Heroes II" and "Beyond the Realm of Conscience", respectively. After 2011, Sheh began to transition into the mainland China market, continuing to shine in series like "Line Walker" and "The Legend of Kublai Khan". In the late 2010s, she starred in movies such as "Triumph in the Skies", the film version of "Line Walker", and "Always Be with You". In 2020, she won a string of awards including "Malaysia's Favorite TVB Actress", "Greater Bay Area's Favorite TVB Actress", and "Best Actress" for her performance in "Winter Begonia". The same year, she participated in the variety show "Memories Beyond Horizon Season 2" and starred in the series "The Heir to The Throne".
