Ronald Cheng

Ronald Cheng, born on 9th March 1972, is a well-known pop singer and film actor from Hong Kong, who graduated from St. Anthony's College in the United States. He started his career in Taiwan in 1996 with the release of his first Mandarin album. In 1997, he made a move to Hong Kong and launched his first Cantonese album. Over the next several years, he maintained his focus on both his music creation and acting roles. His song "無賴 (Rascal)" won the Top Ten Chinese Gold Songs, Top Ten Power Songs Gold Songs, and Solid Gold Songs Gold Awards in 2005. In 2006, he hosted his first solo concert at the Hong Kong Coliseum. In 2012, he took up a principal role in the film "The Four" and received the Best Supporting Actor award at the Taiwan Golden Horse Film Awards and the Hong Kong Film Awards for his performance in "Vulgaria". In 2020, he wrote, directed, and starred in his film "Atonement". After a three-year absence from the big screen, in 2023, Ronald Cheng featured in two successive films in Hong Kong theatres: "Over My Dead Body" and "Time Still Turns The Pages". Furthermore, in 2018, he launched a YouTube channel, "Running Team - RTV" advancing into new media. As of 2023, the channel has accumulated over 600,000 subscribers.
