War of Faith

"War of Faith" is a TV drama series set in Shanghai from 1929 to 1934, telling the story of Wei Ruolai (played by Wang Yi-bo). He begins as an ordinary employee in the Central Bank of the Kuomintang, but as he distinguished himself in his work, he gradually earned the admiration of the senior consultant, Shen Tunan (played by Wang Yang). This experience deepens Wei Ruolai’s understanding of the corruption and dark side of the Kuomintang's financial world. Faced with choices between personal interests and his beliefs, how will Wei Ruolai act? During Wei Ruolai's inner confusion, Shen Tunan's sister, and a member of the Communist Party, Shen Jinzhen (played by Li Qin), guides him with her Marxist beliefs and warms his heart. In the subsequent story, Wei and his mentor part ways, and he gradually grows into an outstanding financier.
