Lawrence Kan
Lawrence Kan (Kan Kwan Chun) was born in Hong Kong on August 26, 1987, and graduated from the Vancouver Film School in 2009. Upon returning to Hong Kong, he became active in the field of film creation and successfully founded the creative team Marc. Two Visuals, which specializes in producing music videos, commercial microfilms, and short films. His career took off in 2011 when he won three awards at the 2011 Chinese Youth Short Film Competition for his short film "Staircase", including Best Picture in the Public Category, Best Screenplay Runner-up, and Best Director Third place. In 2013, Lawrence Kan began his film directing career. His debut feature film "When C goes with G7", a coming-of-age story of young people in Hong Kong, competed in the "Hong Kong First Work" unit of the Hong Kong Asian Film Festival that year. In 2022, he directed the VIU TV drama "In Geek We Trust" and in 2023, he directed the film "In Broad Daylight". "In Broad Daylight" was not only a competition film in the 25th Shanghai International Film Festival, but also the opening film of the 20th Hong Kong Asian Film Festival.
