Ray Yeung

Ray Yeung is a film director who grew up in Hong Kong. At the age of 13, he was sent to a boarding school in a suburb of London and worked as a lawyer before becoming a director. Yeung graduated from Columbia University School of the Arts in 2013 and has been writing and directing many shorts and feature films since 1998, with most of his works focusing on exploring LGBTQ+ issues and emotions. His 2019 film "Suk Suk," which he wrote and directed himself, brought a breakthrough in his career. The film won the Best Film Award at the 26th Hong Kong Film Critics Society Awards, and Yeung was nominated for the Best Director Award at the 39th Hong Kong Film Awards for this film. By 2024, his film "All Shall Be Well" won the Best Film Award at the Teddy Awards at the 74th Berlin International Film Festival.
