Steve Yuen
Steve Yuen Kim Wai, born on July 8, 1966, is a renowned music video (MV), advertising director, and film director and screenwriter hailing from Hong Kong. He studied psychology in Canada and further honed his expertise in filmmaking with a master's course at Goldsmiths, University of London. His second ex-wife is the Golden Horse Awards-winning actress Karena Lam. Yuen is adept at creating MVs of varying styles, incorporating works of big-name artists such as Jacky Cheung, Cass Phang, and Vivian Chow. In 2011, he conceptualized the idea of adapting a stage play into a film and in 2016, with his wife Karena Lam in the leading role, this film was released under the title "Heaven in the Dark". Starting from 1992, Yuen worked in the variety department of TVB, where he crossed paths with his colleague Wong Wai Kwan (Ahfa), who's now the manager of MIRROR. Yuen was invited to participate in the creation of MIRROR's music videos, providing professional visual arts guidance and even directed advertisements starring MIRROR's members. In 2022, as a basketball enthusiast, Yuen produced a basketball-themed TV drama for ViuTV titled "We Got Game", in which actor Keung To was invited to star.
